StickFix Repair
Making a busy Shopify store easier to run and easier to find.
We didn’t build this store. We keep it improving: account and admin screens that match the existing theme, ongoing SEO, review stars, tracking, and a ticket desk tied to Shopify orders.
01 What needed solving
StickFix Repair fixes and upgrades game controllers by mail: stick drift, TMR joystick upgrades, batteries, buttons and custom builds, for customers all over the US. The Shopify store was already built and selling well, with hundreds of reviews, when we came in.
The owner needed someone to keep improving it without breaking it: make the store easier for his team to run, fix the things holding it back in Google, measure what actually sells, and stop paying for a support tool that doesn’t talk to Shopify.
02 What we did
Screens that match the theme
A custom My Account area with profile, orders and order status in one place, plus admin tools such as a badge picker in the product editor, all styled to match the store’s existing theme so nothing feels bolted on.
Search fixes, one by one
Unique page titles and descriptions, one clear heading per page, shorter search titles for every product name too long for Google, and broken links fixed. Each fix is tracked and reported to the owner.
Review stars, on and off Google
Product pages carry the rating data Google needs for review stars (for example 4.9 from 379 reviews on the PS5 repair), and every product card on the store now shows its stars and review count.
Tracking that covers checkout
Google Tag Manager on the storefront, plus a Shopify custom pixel for checkout, so purchases are measured end to end instead of stopping at the cart.
A ticket desk tied to Shopify
In progress: a support desk where ticket numbers match Shopify order numbers, with logins for admins, support staff and technicians. It replaces a paid third-party ticket tool that isn’t connected to the store.
Careful changes, every time
This is a live store taking orders, so every change starts with a full theme backup, gets checked on the live site afterwards, and can be rolled back in minutes.
03 How it works
The store runs on Shopify. Our changes live in its theme (Liquid, CSS and Shopify’s own product data), so the owner keeps editing products and pages the way he always has, with no extra apps to pay for.
Reviews come from the store’s review app and feed both Google’s rich results and the product cards. Analytics run through Google Tag Manager on the storefront and a custom pixel in checkout. The new ticket desk is a separate app on Cloudflare that reads orders from Shopify.
04 What they got
- Account and admin screens that look like the rest of the store
- Every product title now fits in Google’s results
- Review stars on product cards, and pages Google can show stars for
- Purchases tracked through checkout
- A Shopify-linked ticket desk on the way, replacing a paid tool
